The HIV/AIDS virus does not differentiate between various ethnic group communities . Individuals from almost all ethnic group in Malaysia have been affected by HIV/AIDS. Percentage increment of reported HIV infections among Malays and Chinese were similar,i.e. by 17.5% each while among Indian was lower (4.9%). It is interesting to note that more cases were reported among Malaysians of other ethnic groups (including Bumiputera Sabah and Sarawak),i.e by 74.6%.
