Strategy


In order to achieve the Objectives of the PROSTAR program, the following strategies are to be used:

Strengthening cooperation network between various Agencies
To get active and continuous involvement, in a smart partnership from various Governmental and Non – Governmental agencies including corporate bodies, Professional bodies and others in the planning, implementing and assessing of PROSTAR programs.

Intensive Communication Approach
To use widely at all levels the interpersonal communication method and other methods including using the services of mass media which are suitable.

Promotion

In spreading information for the promotion of PROSTAR, various kinds of media will be used such as the printing media, electronic media, out door media as well as information technology.

PROSTAR Training
Through PROSTAR training programs, youth will undergo intensive training utilising special training module according to the target group. A total of 4 (four) training modules has been prepared, they are:

  • The PROSTAR Facilitator Training Manual

  • The PROSTAR Youth Training Manual

  • The PROSTAR School (s) Training Manual

  • The PROSTAR “High Hopes” Youth Training Manual

PROSTAR Trainings are carried out at Schools, district and State levels monitored by State AIDS Officer and the State Health Education Officer.

PROSTAR Club
Apart from the Ministry of Health Malaysia , the PROSTAR Club too plays Its role in getting PROSTAR activities being implemented and carried out. This PROSTAR club has been established and registered under the Registrar of Societies on the 30 th of June 1997 .
  • The PROSTAR Club Network
The PROSTAR club is a Non – Governmental Organization (NGO) with a string of network at the State, District and School levels throughout Malaysia.
  • Management of the Club
The Club is managed by Committee Members, elected through the General Meeting. 5 The Club has the responsibilities of managing Members' registration, planning and implementing of planned activities.
  • The Club House
The Club house is a premise made ready as a meeting place for PROSTAR members to plan and discuss as well as to get HIV / AIDS educational activities to be carried out. Management of the Club house is the responsibility of the PROSTAR Club Committee Members.
