
The 6 th National Prostar Convention was held at Dataran Bandaraya, Johor Bahru between September 8-10, 2002.
This yearly convention is held in honour of all Prostar Club members who have whole-heartedly helped in the spread of information regarding HIV/AIDS to adolescents and the local population.
For the year 2002, Johor was selected to be the venue for the 6 th National level convention which was officially launched by Y.B. Dato' Chua Jui Meng, Minister of Health , Malaysia on September 8, 2002.
OBJECTIVES
To build a positive minded generation that practices a healthy lifestyle.

To give participants the opportunity to present their AIDS education activities carried out at their respective destinations.

To build better understanding and closer bonding among leaders of Prostar Cub throughout Malaysia .

To allow participants to increase their knowledge through shared experiences, discussions and common problems faced during the execution of Prostar programmes.

To promote Prostar programme to the general public and the youth.
THEME
The theme of the convention was ‘well informed youth, the platform to excellence' This meant that in today' information age, the youth need to arm themselves with as much information they can including that on HIV/AIDS so that they can take the necessary steps to avoid it… live healthy, be proactive and aim for excellence.
